THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE LESSONS, PERFORM & GROW!

We provide the opportunity for our students to perform in recitals every spring and fall.

Recitals are an essential part of Monmouth Music Academy's curriculum as they provide students with a platform to showcase their musical skills and gain valuable performance experience. Recitals allow students to share their music with an audience, which can be incredibly rewarding and inspiring. They also help students to build their confidence, develop their stage presence, and improve their overall musicianship.

Additionally, attending and participating in recitals can foster a sense of community and camaraderie among students, teachers, and families, creating a supportive and encouraging environment for musical development.

Recitals are considered optional events, providing participants with the choice to partake in them or not. We strive to create an inclusive and flexible atmosphere that encourages musical growth and enjoyment for all.

Monmouth Music Academy has adopted Abe Ovadia's innovative Encore System to enhance their recital experiences and celebrate student achievements. This system functions similarly to the color belt ranking used in martial arts. After a student performs in their first recital, they receive a sticker on their recital certificate, marking it as their "first encore." As students participate in subsequent recitals, they collect additional stickers—second, third, and so forth—each representing their growing experience and achievements. The stickers are color-coded like karate belts, making each progression visually distinctive and rewarding. This method not only motivates students to continue developing their musical skills but also provides a clear, incremental indicator of their progress.
